«Athens Equestrian Festival 2023» returns to Markopoulo in June!
For the third consecutive year the Athens Equestrian Festival returns to Markopoulo Olympic Equestrian Center and meets the equestrian fans in June. The big international jumping event with great interest will take place the four days, 1-4 June.
This year, more than 200 riders from many European countries are expected, competing for the total prize money of €167,500. The Athens Equestrian Festival 2023 includes the Longines EEF Series Athens CSIO3 *-W World Cup, part of the Longines EEF Series 20233 Nations Cup series which is organized by the European Equestrian Federation - EEF.
AEF 2023 includes also a CSI Ch, international competition for children and a CSI1* and an international competition of young horses CSIYH*.
In the program of the Longines EEF Series Athens CSIO3 *-W dominates the team competition of the Nations Cup on Sunday, June 4 at 16.00, which is a qualifying event for the southern region of the Longines EEF Series 2023. Teams from 7 countries, Greece, Italy, Portugal, Ukraine, Turkey, Bulgaria and Romania are expected to compete in the Athens Team Competition, accumulating points with the aim of qualifying for the grand final Longines EEF Series in Warsaw, Poland in September.
Along with the team athletes, top riders from Southern and Central Europe will participate in the individual classes of the program, including the Grand Prix event, which will take place on Friday, June 3 at 17:00.
Entry is free for spectators, while all classes will be broadcasted in live streaming from the online platform https://www.clipmyhorse.tv/en_EU/ via the event’s site https://athenscsi.gr/en/live-streaming
The time schedule will start in the morning and will be completed on all four days after 18.00.
Also, as part of the Athens Equestrian Festival 2023, other events for young and old fans of the sport are held alongside the competition.
